Hello everyone, and welcome to my blog! Over my time here I'll be researching the feasibility of building homes in Kamloops that are both environmentally friendly, and affordable for the average person. To measure how sustainable the home is I'll be designing to an eco-friendly standard, like the R-2000 standard, or Energuide standards. My research will cover new sustainable materials on the market that can be used in the home, a look at the average home in Kamloops for comparison, and the understanding of the standards themselves. When all is said and done, I hope to prove whether or not sustainable building is affordable to the average person.
This is my initial plan, but it may change a lot along the way. I'll be updating my blog as I find new information on my topic, and when I have progress to show on my design later in the project. Thanks for stopping by!
